Plant based proteins – inferior protein bioavailability, heavily processed, often sprayed with endocrine disrupting herbicides and pesticides, and plant-based protein powders are often contaminated with heavy metals.
pork – Pork fat is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids, due to their low quality feed and the fact that they have a monogastric digestive system. Why is this bad? Too much PUFA can create oxidative stress, impair liver function, down-regulate thyroid, and increase cortisol.
chicken – Chicken is very similar to pork – they’re fed grains high in polyunsaturated fats, which makes their fat higher in polyunsaturated fats. This can reduce the liver’s capacity to metabolize estrogen and which can lead to estrogen dominance, especially if you’re regularly eating processed food too.
fish/seafood – Seafood would be great, but our oceans are heavily polluted. Farm raise fish is pretty nasty since they feed the fish a random assortment of crap, antibiotics, and supplements to alter the color of the meat. Wild Oysters, scallops and low fat fish are great though.
beef – Beef is full of B vitamins which are critically important in cellular energy production, and beef fat is high in saturated fats which contain fat soluble vitamins, which are also beneficial to your hormones, like testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone.
